Which One Are You? The Four Personalities Keeping You Stuck

September 18, 2026•6 min read

☕ Grab your coffee (or your protein shake), friend. Let's talk.

(No judgment...but I already have my guesses.)

Today we're playing a little game. I want you to figure out which person you are. Don't overthink it. Just be honest. Ready?

💪 The Weekend Warrior

Monday through Friday? You've got your life together.

Protein? ✔️ Workout? ✔️ Water? ✔️ Bedtime routine? ✔️ Meal prep? ✔️

Then the weekend comes... And honestly... Nothing really changes.

You still move your body. You enjoy a date night without turning it into a three-day binge. You sleep in a little. You rest when your body needs it. You're consistent.

Secretly... The rest of us kind of hate you. (Just kidding...mostly.)

📅 New-Me-New-Monday Molly

Monday morning... Fresh start. New planner. New water bottle. New motivational quote.

By Tuesday... Still crushing it. Wednesday? Feeling unstoppable. Thursday? We're hanging in there.

Friday at 5:01 PM? "IT'S THE FREAKIN' WEEKEND BABY!"

Cue Nelly. Cue queso. Cue margaritas. Cue the family-sized bag of chips. Cue dessert. Cue, "I'll start over Monday."

Sunday night rolls around. You're bloated. You feel gross. You're full of regret.

Monday... We repeat the cycle. Sound familiar?

🔥 75 Hard Hannah

Everything is all-or-nothing.

You don't just go for a walk. You train twice a day. You don't just eat healthier. You eliminate seventeen food groups. You don't just drink more water. You're carrying around a gallon jug like it's your emotional support animal.

For 37 days... You're unstoppable.

Then life happens. You miss one workout. Eat one cookie. Skip one day.

And suddenly... "It's ruined." So you quit. And somehow end up worse off than when you started.

😴 Snoozin' Sally

You know exactly what you should be doing. You follow all the health accounts. You've saved 843 healthy recipes you'll never make.

You know protein matters. You know strength training matters. You know sleep matters. You know walking matters. You know.

You just... Can't. Get. Started.

Not because you're lazy. Because you're exhausted. Overwhelmed. Stressed. And honestly... The thought of changing everything feels impossible.

Can I tell you a secret?

I've been every single one of these women. Every. Single. One.

I've crash dieted. I've overtrained. I've started over on Monday. I've been exhausted. I've chased perfection. I've failed. Repeatedly.

And you know who wins? None of them. Because all of them are living in extremes.

Here's the million-dollar question...

Why do we do this to ourselves? Seriously.

Why is it that if we eat one cookie... Our brain immediately says, "Well...today's ruined."

Or if we miss one workout... "Guess I'll start over next month."

Can someone explain the math on that? Because last time I checked... One cookie doesn't erase six weeks of healthy choices. One missed workout doesn't erase your muscle. One weekend doesn't undo your progress.

Our brains just like to convince us that it does.

Why is change so hard?

After talking to thousands of patients... I've noticed a few common reasons.

1. "I'm too tired."

Honestly? That's a valid reason. But sometimes... The very things that give us more energy are the things we're too tired to start doing. It's the world's worst catch-22.

2. Change is uncomfortable.

Humans love familiarity. Even if what's familiar isn't serving us. Starting something new feels awkward. Hard. Uncomfortable. That's normal.

3. Doing nothing feels easier.

Let's be honest. Changing your life requires effort. Scrolling TikTok doesn't. Guess which one our brain naturally chooses after a stressful day? Exactly.

4. New habits take practice.

Nobody wakes up craving grilled chicken and broccoli. (Okay...maybe one weird person does.) Healthy habits become easier because we repeat them. Not because we're magically born disciplined.

So...who actually wins?

The person who finds their version of healthy. Not mine. Not your neighbor's. Not your sister's best friend's cousin's keto-loving husband. Yours.

The version where... You feel strong. You have energy. You're sleeping better. Your anxiety is manageable. Your labs are improving. Your libido is finally doing libido things. Your body hurts less.

You're living your life... Instead of constantly trying to fix it.

My favorite things I tell patients...

If I had $1 for every time I said these... I probably wouldn't need to own a clinic.

One tweak a week.

Seriously. Just one. Not twenty-seven.

Maybe you cook one more dinner at home. Maybe you drink one extra bottle of water. Maybe you walk after dinner twice this week.

Small changes. Big results.

Have what you want... Add what you need.

This might be my favorite saying. Want the cookie? Eat the cookie. Now add protein. Add fiber. Add some healthy fat. Maybe a little fruit.

(PFFC: Protein. Fat. Fiber. Color.)

We're building meals... Not food guilt.

We didn't gain it overnight.

So... We're probably not losing it overnight either.

I swear some people expect to lose 30 pounds in a month. Honey... This isn't My 600-lb Life. This isn't The Biggest Loser.

This is real life. Real bodies. Real metabolism. Real expectations.

Can you do this forever?

This is my favorite question. Can you honestly picture yourself doing this every day for the rest of your life?

If the answer is... "No." Then why are we doing it?

Because if it isn't sustainable... It's temporary.

One more thing...

Can we please stop obsessing over the number on the scale?

Honestly... I don't really care what you weigh. Only you, me, and maybe Scuba Steve know that number anyway.

What I care about is... Can you walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded? Are you stronger than you were three months ago? Can you do more push-ups? Are you eating enough protein? How's your energy? Do your clothes fit better? Is your visceral fat improving? Are you sleeping? Do you need fewer energy drinks to survive the afternoon? Is your libido making a comeback?

That's health. Not whether the scale says 130 pounds or 230 pounds.

XOXO,
Brittany

Brittany's Bottom Line

You don't have to be the Weekend Warrior, New-Me-New-Monday Molly, 75 Hard Hannah, or Snoozin' Sally. Real health doesn't live in extremes — it lives in consistency.

Some weeks you'll crush your workouts. Some weeks you'll just survive. Both are part of life.

Stop chasing perfect. Start chasing better.

One tweak. One meal. One workout. One walk. One day at a time.

Because those small choices, repeated over and over, are what create lasting change.

Progress will always beat perfection.
